Introduction

SMS (Short Message Service) text messaging is the most widely used data communication protocol on the planet, with over a billion active users. ActiveXperts supports the major SMS protocols used today, ranging from GSM to the high-volume SMPP protocol.

MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) extends the core SMS with true multi-media facilities. It is a standard way to send messages that include multimedia content to and from mobile phones. ActiveXperts supports the major MMS protocols used today, ranging from MM1 (MMS over GSM/GPRS) to MM7 (MMS through XML/SOAP).


ActiveXperts SMS/MMS products

ActiveXperts provides two SMS/MMS based products: 'ActiveXperts SMS Messaging Server' and 'ActiveXperts SMS and MMS Toolkit'.

ActiveXperts SMS Messaging Server is an SMS and e-mail messaging framework to enable companies to send, receive and process SMS and e-mail messages. The framework is designed to support virtually any scenario where low-and high volume SMS and e-mail messaging is required. The software works with the most common database engines, from a simple Access Database, to SQL Server. Messages can be configured to do predefined actions based on the content of the SMS message.

ActiveXperts SMS and MMS Toolkit is an ActiveX/COM component to provide SMS and MMS messaging functionality.
Send and receive SMS via: GSM modem/phone, HTTP, SMPP, Hayes Modem (TAP/XIO provider).
Send and receive MMS via: MM1 (GPRS), MM4 (SMTP), MM7 (XML/SOAP).
It includes a 32-bit and a 64-bit component.
Samples are provided for VB .NET, C# .NET, ASP .NET, C++, Visual Basic, ASP, VBScript, Borland Delphi, HTML, PHP and more.
