Product Overview

ActiveXperts HelpDesk System is a powerful, web enabled support management system designed for help desks, call centers, customer support centers and ICT departments. It is designed to provide a complete support solution, to streamline helpdesk processes.

ActiveXperts HelpDesk System will help you to:

ActiveXperts HelpDesk System can run on the following Operating Systems:
  • Windows 2008;
  • Windows 2003;
  • Windows Vista;
  • Windows XP;
  • Windows 2000.
ActiveXperts HelpDesk System is also provided as a service. 'ActiveXperts HelpDesk as a Service' is a service in accordance with the SaaS concept, also known as ASP or hosted software. Using this online service you no longer need to worry about installation or maintenance of the software.





System Requirements

ActiveXperts HelpDesk can be used in two ways:
  • Installed in your own network. You install the software yourself on a Windows server. You take care of installation, configuration, upgrade, maintenance, backup, etc.
  • As a service. Using this online service (known as SaaS - software as a service) you no longer need to worry about installation, configuration, upgrade, maintenance, backup, etc. of the software.
In both scenario's, a browser is used on the client machine to access the software. The following web browsers are supported:
  • Internet Explorer 6.x or higher
  • Mozilla Firefox 2.x or higher

ActiveXperts HelpDesk runs on the following Operating Systems:
  • Windows 2008 - Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition (x86 and x64), Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (x86 and x64), Windows Server 2008 Datacenter Edition (x86 and x64);
  • Windows Vista - Windows Vista Business (x86 and x64), Windows Vista Enterprise (x86 and x64), Windows Vista Home Premium (x86 and x64), Windows Vista Home Basic (x86 and x64), Windows Vista Ultimate (x86 and x64);
  • Windows 2003 - Windows 2003 Standard Edition (x86 and x64), Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition (x86 and x64), Windows 2003 Datacenter Edition (x86 and x64), Windows 2003 Web Edition (x86 and x64);
  • Windows 2000 - Windows 2000 Professonal, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Advanced Server and Windows 2000 Datacenter;
  • Windows XP - Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional Edition.
ActiveXperts HelpDesk does not require an web service (like IIS - Internet Information System) installed; the software uses its own web service which is installed and confiugured during the installation process.

ActiveXperts HelpDesk requires an MS SQL Server database, either on the ActiveXperts HelpDesk System machine or on a remote Windows server. The following NMS SQL verswions are supported:
  • MS SQL Server 2008
  • MS SQL Server 2005
  • MS SQL Server 2000
NOTE: The freeware products 'Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine' and 'SQL Server Express Edition' are not supported!


    ActiveXperts HelpDesk as a Service
