Humidity check

ActiveXperts Network Monitor requires the EM1 Environmental Monitor device from Sensatronics to monitor humidity. The Environmental Monitor connects directly to your network via an Ethernet hub or switch offering a unique environmental logging solution.

The EM1 device is capable of monitoring temperature, huimidity and wetness. ActiveXperts Network Monitor is capable to monitor all three types.

A Humidity check requires the following parameters:
  • Host name or IP address - The host name or IP address of the network interface of the humidity device; use a port prefix to specify another port that the default port (port 80)
  • Monitor Probe - Select a probe;
  • Measurement - Select the preferred unit of measurement : Fahrenheit or Celsius;
  • Minimum Humidity - Minimum humidity (%);
  • Maximum Humidity - Maximum humidity (%);
  • Logging - Enable Logging (y/n); Press on the 'Settings' button to configure logging. By default, ActiveXperts Network Monitor logs to an MS Access database.

The Sensatronics EM1 Environmental Monitor connects directly to your network via an Ethernet hub or switch offering a unique environmental logging solution. Its list of features include:
  • Ethernet connectivity - Simply setup the units IP Address, Netmask and Gateway and begin collecting environmental data or let the unit dynamically configure the network settings for you. Also supports DHCP;
  • Internal Web Server - A built-in web server, listening on TCP/IP Port 80 (or at a user selected port) for requests to display the current environmental conditions;
  • Simple protocol - for retrieving environmental data for users wishing to write their own interface;
  • Various Software Options - NMS (Network Management Software) that are SNMP based;
  • High Accuracy - Temperature Accuracy:
        0.5°F from -20°F to +120°F;
        1.5°F from -40°F to +212°F;
        0.3°C from -3.0°C to +50°C;
        0.8°C from -40°C to +100°C;
  • Humidity - Humidity Accuracy:
        2% RH from 5% to 95% RH, non condensing;
  • Wetness - Wetness Accuracy:
        1 - 100 scale of wetness.
ActiveXperts Network Monitor is also capable of monitoring temperature and wetness (besides humity). The wetness check also requires the Sensatronics EM1 device.
To monitor temperature, ActiveXperts supports the following Sensatronics models:
  • Model E4
  • Model E8;
  • Model E16;
  • Model CM16;
  • Model EM1.
ActiveXperts Network Monitor has advanced humidity logging. By default, humidity is logged to an MS Access database that is shipped with the product. You can easily migrate logging to an MS SQL server (or other OLE/DB compliant database). Follow the online Environmental Data Logging Guidelines to migrate to MS SQL.
